- Communications: emails, support tickets, and messages you send us.
We also collect data automatically when you use our services, including IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and time spent on each page.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Fareboos platform.
- Process transactions and send related information including confirmations and invoices.
- Send SMS, WhatsApp, and email notifications related to your shipments (as configured by you).
- Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests.
- Send marketing and promotional communications (you can opt out at any time).
- Monitor and analyse usage patterns to improve our products.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities.
- Comply with legal obligations in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, and other jurisdictions where we operate.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:
- Service providers: cloud infrastructure (AWS), SMS/WhatsApp delivery (Africa's Talking), payments (Flutterwave), and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Your customers: shipment tracking data is shared with recipients as part of the service you configure.
- Legal requirements: where required by law, court order, or governmental authority in relevant jurisdictions.
- Business transfers: if Fareboos is acquired or merges, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active, plus an additional period required by applicable law (typically 7 years for financial records under Nigerian Companies and Allied Matters Act). You may request deletion of your account at any time — see Section 6.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, bcrypt password hashing, and regular third-party security audits. No system is 100% secure; if you suspect a breach, contact us immediately at security@fareboos.com.
6. Your Rights

- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
